Francis makes quiet domestic objects made for use. They are all thrown and sometimes altered but all seek a balance between looseness and definition. All work is reduction fired with salt glaze becoming the main firing method for his desired surfaces. Francis works in Cumbria at The Farmers Arms run by Grizedale Arts and he is a selected member of the Craft Potters Association.
